In 1953, the most powerful earthquake struck
Kefalonia and destroyed the Vlachata village, among other villages near the area of
Sami. Almost 60 years after that, the
Saristra Production Team along with the cultural club of
Aegialos are giving life again to the old village, organising the
First Saristra Festival, on the
10th and 11th of August! Great modern greek bands, musicians, video art and artists in general, will be featured at a natural stage in the village's central square!
Our
poster design focuses on this particular combination, when the past's
physical waves of destruction meet nowaday's cultural waves: creativity as a rebirth... Or when some traditional stone construction
techniques meet the new era of our local scene's musical forms and artistic structures, beneath summer night skies...
